Old Tucson

Posted March 6, 2014

Old Tucson is celebrating its 75th year as an Arizona film location. A historic reproduction of Tucson in the 1860s, it became the premier privately owned western film location in the 1960s. From 1970 to 1980 Old Tucson and its Mescal property, which is located just 40 miles southeast of Tucson, hosted 77 film & television productions. It is still used today for commercial projects including films, commercials & music video shoots. Old Tucson offers something for every age group, every interest and all film & western history buffs. Check out and plan to visit “The Hollywood of the Desert” soon.
